$2,655.00One ounce American Gold Eagles make the most stunning coin rings. They are 91.67% gold (22 karat) and can be made in size 8-15. The last photo shows from left to right, a silver walking liberty half dollar, 1 oz gold eagle, 1/2 oz gold eagle, and another walking liberty half. The half dollars are slightly smaller than the 1 oz gold eagles and they are slightly larger than the 1/2 oz gold eagles. You can also see a picture of a silver Morgan dollar next to a 1 oz gold eagle. The Morgans are larger than the 1 oz gold eagles.

They are made of the same 90% silver as other half dollars of the time. They can be made from size 8-14. The first 3 pictures are a size 11. As they get smaller, they become more curved. The second 3 pictures are of a size 8 which is the most curved. Size 13-14 (not pictured) are slightly thinner.

For years I shied away from making these but recently decided to go for it and start offering these. These coins were minted in the 1800s and then sat in wooden crates in obscurity until they were re discovered in 1964 and then packaged for sale starting in 1972. Each of these coin rings started off as on of those uncirculated coins.

I source these stones directly from the Blue Jewel mine that sits on top of the famous Eldorado Bar on the Missouri River in Montana. This ring is 6 mm wide and is currently made with 14k yellow gold but can be made in any karat. I just love Montana sapphires! There is something special about stones that are found right here in the US.
